Lambs Look to Southwest For Inspiration of Show

The Lambs will frolic Saturday night in the manner of the old Southwest when they present their musical show “Christmas Eve on the Lambs’ Dude Ranch” in

the Columbia Club. The entire cast will appear in a number, “The Rangers Song” as an opener. Vernon C. Roth will sing “South of the Border” and Paul Starrett's selection will be "Ragtime Cowboy Joe.” Mrs. Newell C. Munson, Albert O. Deluse and John H. Bookwalter will present a skit, "Kermit the Hermit.” Mrs. Irving M. Fauvre will sing “South American Way" and the company will appear in LaConga and Boomps-a-Daisy dances and a number called "Good Evening.”

Dude Cowboys and Girls in the Chores

Dude cowboys and cowgirls making up the chorus are Messrs. and Mesdames John H. Bookwalter, Kevin D. Brosnan, J. Perry Meek, F. Noble Ropkey and Robert 8 Stempfel: Messrs. Frederick Anderson, William Garvin Bastian, Newell C. Munson, Henry Severin and Harry V. Wade; Miss Betty Blancke and Mrs. Viola Recker, Mrs. G. B. Jackson and Michael J. Duffecy Jr. will be accoms= . panists. Members of the committee in charge of the frolic are Messrs. and Mesdames Meek, Fauvie, Bookwalter and William B. Ansted Jr. Several dinner parties have been planned at the club preceding the show. Included in the hosts and hostesses are Messrs. and Mesdames Fauvre. Wilson Mothershead, William G. Sparks, Robert A. Hendrickson, Henry Dithmer Jr, Walter J. Stuhldreher, Robert A. Adams and Mrs. Ethel Hemenway. Judge and Mrs. Herbert E. Wilson will entertain with a dinner party at their home before the show. Their guests will include Messrs. and Mesdames Jeremiah L. Cadick, Herman W. Kothe and Alan Boyd.

Third Luncheon to Precede Symphony

Fourteen Indianapolis women will act as hostesses at the third of the pre-concert luncheons Friday noon given under the auspices of the Women's Committee of the Indiana State Symphony Society. Hostesses will include Mesdames B. M. Angell, Robert Churchman. Frank Cregor, George Denny, Henry Hornbrook, Herman Kothe, William Fisk Landers, Edna Kuhn Martin, W. J. Sandford, WwW. Hathaway Simmons. William J. Stark, A. H. Steinbrecher, Herbert T. Wagner and Miss Ada Bicking. Mrs. Paul E. Fisher will head the luncheon ticket committee, Her assistants include Mesdames Alfred W. Noling, John R. Ruckelshaus. Robert F. Scott Jr. and Charles R. Weiss. Mrs. Richard Helms and Mrs. James W. Regan will have charge of auditorium arrangements where Mrs, Clarence Coffin will give the explanatory music talk following the luncheon. Roth Iuncheon and lecture are open to members of the Women's Committee and concert patrons, according te Mrs. Herbert M. Woollen. general chairman. No reservations are necessary for the lecture. but luncheon reservations should be made by 3 p. m. today at the orchestra's Murat Theater headquarters.

Women Prepare for Civic Production

Women in the Civie Theater are instrumental in production preparations for the theater's next play, “Personal Appearance,” (Lawrence Riley). which will open Friday and continue through next Wednesday. Edward Steinmetz Jr. is director. The set, designed by William W. Brenn, theater technician, will be completed by antique furniture collected by a committee headed bv Mrs. Frederick C. Albersharcdt. Her assistants include Miss Eldena Lauter and Mesdames Carlos Recker, W. H. Tefft, James P. Wason and Edward P. Dean. Mrs. R. Kirby Whyte is hand properties chairman, assisted by Miss Margaret Ann Clippinger and Mesdames George Fotheringham, Bertram S. Hawkins and Ronald S. Skyrme.
