That ambition to be a railroad builder was realized in his starting what became the Indiana Railroad One of his proudest hoasts is that when he sold out one line in 1921 everyone who put $1000 into it got $20,000 back He owned jewelry, race horses. a fancy rig, evervthing that he re. solved to own when the goihg was lean, Mr. Marott believes evervone, including himself at four score and one, should have eight hours work, eight hours recreation and eight hours sleep, His advice to the college or high school graduate is not to expect things to be rosy, but dig in just as he did.

WPAMAY REPLACE FENGES ON ROADS
Approval has been given to use PWA labor for re-erection of fences removec from the right-of-way of highways for new road construction, John K, Jennings, State WPA Ade ministrator, said today,
Although the order provides for labor costs, Federal funds cannot be used to furnish new replacement

Five points were outlined in the controller's ruling: 1. The work must he clearly incie dental and subordinate to other work within the right-of-way for improvement of the highway. 2, The work must be for the pub lie benefit, for example, to protect, the traveling public from traffio hazards, 3. Any benefit to the abutting property owner is incidental and secondary to the public benefit, 4, The sponsor must furnish all necessary materials, 5, The fence must be located withe in the right-of-way.
