WELFARE NEED

Hopes to Cut County Roles In Face of Threatened 40 Fund Decline.

County Welfare Director Thomas L. Neal today ordered a re-investi-gation of all county welfare recipients, with a view to making adjustments on the basis of need. The adjustments will be made in the hope of reducing welfare roles 0 meet possible reduction of 1940 fands, he said.

LEGION AND MURAT GIVE CHARITY SHOW

The Christmas Charity Fund of the Murat Temple and the 12th District of the American Legion will be raised in jointly sponsored shows Sunday afternoon and evening at the Murat Temple. Col. Roscoe Turner will show movies of his speed flights at both erformances, the afternoon show eginning at 3:30 P. m. and the evening show at 8 p. m,

INDIANA WILD LIFE PROJECT PROPOSED

A wild life research Project for Indiana to obtain scientific data for game management and restocking Oro has been proposed to the S. Bureau of Biological Survey at Washington, Virgil M. Simmons, andiana Department of Conservation head, said today. The project, which would extend for several years, would be financed through Federal taxes on firearms and ammunition. Mr, Simmons cited a lack of scientific data in the department. The only information now compiled is a listing of areas where game has been liberated. Data is needed on adaptability of game to the areas, he said.
