Volumes by Hoosiers to Be, Added to Memorial N At Yale U.

Two books “climaxing the efforts of a two-year searcn” are now available for the Coleman Atkins, Memorial collection given to Yale University by Mrs. William H. Coleman. The books were found by Mrs

Caroline Vajen Collins in the library of her father. John H. Vajen, early Indianapolis businessman and banker, The memorial collection is at present made up of 170-odd books, mostly first editions, by Indiana authors. The new books are “40 Years of Oratory,” the works of Daniel W. Vorhees, for 40 years Senator from Indiana, and “Indiana and Indianans,” by the late Jacob Piatt nn,

“Cavern of Dawn” of Interest

Another book of special interest is by Mr. Vorhees' son, James Paxton Verhees, “The Cavern of Dawn.” The book by Mr. Dunn is in five Volumes and has been described as 8 Very important find for the collec-

tion. It was published in a limited |

edition ih 1919. Dr. Dunn's wife is curater of the Propylasum That the discovery should have made bv Mrs. Collins is of Peculiar interest since Coleman Atkins is her great nephew Also found bv Mrs. Collins was the “Complete Encyclopedia of Elocution, Oratory and Ettiquette,” pub- | lished in 1901. {

The collecting is under the direction of Miss Ethel Moore who has spent two years obtaining the present group. a ii.

LYNDHURST LODGE . TO HOLD 2 PARTIES
