VINEGAR AND SANDPAPER are being used at th® Indianapolis Public Library to clean books Library officials say the books are dirtier ‘thic vear than ever. They blame the smog. The best cleaner for the volumes is found to be a solution of half vinegar and half water, with sandpaper used to clean up the worst spots. Books with small ‘circulation that ‘don't get off the shelves remain relatively ‘clean, ‘officials said.
