1914 Nashville City ordinance providing for a censor board was invalid. The present city - chapter, adopted after passage of the 1914 ordinance, did not provide: for a censor. board. After Chancellor Hooker’s ruling, attorneys speculated whether the City of Nashville would seek to enforce its laws against public profanity when the play is presented. They pointed out that the ruling in no way affected these laws and that | any member of the-cast could be: arrested each time he or she cursed.
