TOWN IN INDIANA
HUNTING “DOCTOR
The latest definition of news: A town full of patients looking for a doctor. That's what a community of 1000 persons in northern Indiana is doing. The leader of the town’s civic association wrote the State Employment Service asking for a doctor “with or without actual practical experience.” The town, the letter said, “would pay suitable remuneration or expenses until such time as the new doctor is in a position to take over on his own.” The Employment Service .contacted the State Medical Association. ‘Bulletins have been posted at the City Hospital and the Indiana University School of Medicine. The Employment Service also has communicated with agencies who are rehabilitating refugees from Germany, since many of them are doctors.
