The ice hockey bug bit Indianapolis last night. Every blue, yellow and red seat in the Coliseum was filled and Mr. and Mrs. Gus Fan stood five and six deep behind the
wire netting at each goal. Local society turned out en bloc and rooted royally at each of the five Indianapolis goals. No one much knew what the game was about, it seems, but all approved. One rink-sider, with an air of great discovery, said, “I know why I thought there were only five men. I haven't been counting the men in the cages.” Despite the talk that everyone would be “dressed to the teeth,” there were only a few in formal dress, most of them Civic Theai:r members, who had entertained at parties preceding the game. The Civic Theater sponsored the box seat sale. For the most part, the crowd came in spectator clothes and were thankful to have their coats tucked around their legs in the face of a rather frigid breeze from the ice. The skating party afterward was a huge success in spirit if not in numbers. Only a few older men and women braved the: ice, but the youngsters slipped and slid with gusto. A few authentic skating costumes made their debuts and lent a professional air if one didn't + watch the wearers’ feet. ; Among enthusiastic boxholders were Miss Irving Moxley, Mr. and Mrs. Thomas L. Neal, Mrs. Rosamond VanCamp Hill, Messrs. and Mesdames A. K. Scheidenhelm, Conrad Ruckelshaus, Irving Fauvre, Kurt Pantzer, William Stokely, and Chauncey Eno. In Mr. and Mrs. Otto N. Frenzel's box were Mr. and Mrs. Wallace O. Lee, Wallace Lee Jr., and Mr. and Mrs. Fred Reynolds and Mr. and
