Fabien Sevitzky, conductor of the Indianapolis. Symphony Orchestra,

and Mrs\ Sevitzky will be honored Monday afternoon at the eighth annual book and toy exhibit of the Indianapolis Branch of the American Association of University Women in Ayres’ auditorium. The exhibit will open at 10 0 ‘clock Monday morning and will be opén through the week. Special exhibits have been arranged by private and public schools. Mrs. Karl M. Koons and Mrs. Walter L. Caley are co-chairmen. Mr. and Mrs. Sevitzky will inspect the symphony instruments arranged in the music display by s. A. Harold Votaw and Mrs. Harry L. Foreman. The music committee will be in charge of a tea in the Sevitzkys’ honor at the close of the afternoon Monday.

Pupils Design Posters

Symphonic music such -as that played by the local Symphony Orchestra is to be the theme of the music display of the exhibit." A progressive book-making project will be exhibited by pupils of Tudor Hall School. Miss Daty Healy, faculty member, will be in charge of the display. Drawing books with folded paper covers will be shown by the first and second grades.’ The third and fourth grades will exhibit books with fashion figure drawings and original stories. Wood block material covers will be exhibited by the fifth grade and starch paper hinged bindings will be shown as the work of the sixth grade. Scrap books and photograph books with cork and wooden-hinged covers will be shown by the seventh and eighth grades.

Publishing Illustrated

A nature study exhibit, “Bringing the Outside Inside,” will be on display by Orchard School. Miss Vera Hunte, Herbert Sweet. ahd Oscar Huth, ‘of the faculty, are in charge. A progressive exhibit of “The Red and Black” will be featured | Park School. They display w illustrate the publishing process of the monthly school newspaper from the time a story is assigned to a reporter until it appears in print. Arnold Sanders, editor-in-chief, has arranged the display. The Indianapolis Public Schools’ exhibit on progressive weaving will include seven posters illustrating how a pattern is made. School children will demonstrate weaving daily at the exhibit. ; Another special feature of the book and toy exhibit will be a convalescent child’s room with a display of simple playthings made in bed by Riley Hospital patients.
