Church Board Will Convene
The program for the annual meeting of the Indiana Council of Church Women will be discussed at 10 a. m. tomorrow by the organization's board at the Y. W. C. A. The annual meeting will be held Jan. 28, 30 and 31 at the First Baptist Church in conjunction with the State Pastor’s Conference. Mrs. Asa Hoy, program chairman, will present an outline of the annual meeting program. Dr. C. A. McPheeters, program chairman for the pastors’ conference; Mrs. Hoy and their committee aids have arranged a program to include seminars on the seven fields being promoted by the National Adult Movement. They are: Personal faith and experience, Bible in life, community issues, major social problems, the church its out-reach and world relations and family relations. Mrs. B. S. Abernethy, professor at Stephens College, Columbia, Mo., will conduct the seminar on- personal faith and experience. She also will speak at the woman’s meeting on Tuesday afternoon at the Roberts Park Methodist Church. This meeting will ‘be followed by a dinner for both men and women at which time the officers of the State Pastors’ Conference and the Councill will be presented.

A meeting of the White Cross ‘Guild executive board and a Halloween party: for - children at the Methodist Hospital are activities - scheduled for tomorrow by Guild members. Miss Emily Mae Johnson, director ‘of the Indianapolis Theater and Radio School, will present a group of her pupils in a play, “The Golden Fan,” as entertainment for the Halloween party tomorrow afternoon for patients on the Thomas Taggart Memorial Children’s floor. The White Cross Children’s Cheer Guild will be hostess group. Children who will take part in the production include the Misses Joan Robertson, Virginia Black, June ‘Jones, Glinda Jones, Patricia Stutz, Patricia Anne Siford, Cecelia Williamson, Opal Marie Studebaker and Sarah Goodwill. Miss Esther Anne Fuller will presént a reading. Mrs. John Ebner is chairman of arrangements, assisted oy Mrs. C. L, Rothermel and Mrs. Adolph Schernekau. Mrs. Arthur Vehling and Mrs. L. S. Engmark are in charge of making favors. Members of the exechtive board will meet at 10 o'clock tomorrow morning in the nurses’ home. Final instructions will be prepared for those ‘assisting with the annual party for parents of babies born in the hospital. The parents’ party is to be Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock.
