‘Le Miccha Billed Here

Filmarte Showing Tuesday Is U.S. Premiere.

The American premiere of the French comedy, “Le Mioche,” will be the Filmarte Guild’s first offering of the season at 8:30 p. m. Tuesday at the Athenaeum. The movie will be released in this country under the title of “Forty Girls and a Baby.” Since its production the story has been purchased by Eddie Cantor and will be called “Forty Little Mothers.” Hiding Child—It’s Problem It tells the story of a professor in a French school who discovers a foundling on his doorstep. The professor is transferred to a strict girls’ school and is confronted with the dilemma of hiding the

good care of it. He is discovered by female martinet , principal. About to be discharged, he is saved when the girls stage a sit-down strike.

Acclaimed in France

The film was received with great acclaim in France. One critic said: “When this film makes a world tour, it will be the best possible ambassador for the French film industry.” The professor’s role is played by Lucien Baroux and that of the child by Little Philip.

Midget Planes ‘Wreck’ Studio

Times Special HOLLYWOOD, Oct. 19.—Using gasoline model airplanes inside of studio stages has its drawbacks, the cast of “Danger Flight” discovered today. Ten model planes were used for the film. Every time the little engines were started the fun began— fun for studio visitors rather than for the cast.

important scene was being shot, where a midget is used to warn Tailspin Tommy, who is played by star John Trent, of impending danger. However, every time the small plane was turned loose, it would head for the top of the stage, there to become entangled in the rafters and lights. It was then the duty of the crew to disengage the model from wires and ropes. Half a day’s shooting was lost in_all. The 10 little planes became more troublesome than the whole battalion of transport planes used in the film. The tiny machines flew into houses, breaking windows, got lost in trees, disappeared completely or hit the wrong people. Every member of the company had his share of hunting and. repairing the mighty midgets of the air, with John Trent, the only real pilot of the crowd, doing all the supervising.

MR. ABE NATHANSON WILL BE BACK

Renewing his oldtime policy of

blazing the

trait to LOWER PRICES

There are undoubtedly thousands of my customers who remember the STORE WITHOUT A NAME as the leading UNDERSELLING STORE IN THE CITY. Mindful of this tremendous following, it is my plan to re-establish this store under the same name again (STORE WITHOUT A NAME).

BUY NOW! PRICES ARE GOING UP!

For months I have been buying for my grand opening at the lowest prices in a generation. Since then prices have advanced. Cottons—silks, woolens —leather—all higher. I am going to sell all goods in this opening sale at the Low. Price Basis on which I bought the merchandise regardless of price advances. I have personally inspected all advertised merchandise and find it as represented.
