Meridian Hills To Give Fetes
A fun frolic, annual dinner and treasure hunt are planned for members of the Meridian Hills Country Club this month. The annual dinner and meeting will be held tonight. Tomorrow, wives of members and their guests will attend a ladies luncheon-bridge. The committee includes Mrs. William N. Fleming Jr., chairman, assisted by Mrs. Walter ‘I. Holmes, J. Willard Hutchings and C. A. Weller. Luncheon is to be served promptly at 1 o'clock, and a bonus is promised to those who arrive on time. The annual treasure hunt for members and guests will be held Friday evening, Oct. 20. Notices sent to members specified: “Fill your tanks: Check your tires: Grab your flashlights and wear your Mackinaws.” Promptly ab 7:30 o'clock when members will meet at the clubhouse, they will receive the rules governing the

Marcia E. Morrison Will Be Wed Oct. 24 Mrs. J. F. Morrison has announced the engagement and approaching marriage of- her daughter, Marcia Ellen, to Dr. Raleigh Robert Curtis, Temple, Tex. The wedding will be Oct. 24 in the Christ Episcopal Church before members of the immediate families. Miss Morrison, who has been living in Temple for more than a year, is visiting her mother and sister, Mrs. Warren T. Ruddell. She was accompanied by Dr. Curtis and Mr. and Mrs. A. R. Dickinson, Temple.
