State Group to Be Set Up At Meeting Here " Neft Week.

A meeting to perfect a state-wide organization of Foremen’s Clubs will be held Oct. 14 at the Claypool Hotel, C. E. Wood, president of the * Indianapolis Industrial Club, an- + nounced today. The new organization’s purpose is to be the assimilation, of infoermation useful to foremen, supervisors and superintendents in factories throughout the state. - It is also to unify the various Foremen’s Clubs now functioning in several Indiana industrial cities, he said.

ing industrial conditions make it necessary for the foremen to form an organization which will sponsor “speakers and distribute information that will keep us up on all pertinent matters,” Mr. Wood said. Among the special speakers’scheduled to appear at the meeting are A. C, Horrocks, director of public relations of the Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co., Akron, O.; Frank Hockema, assistant to the president of Purdue University, and H. E. Hudson, state ¥. M. C. A. chairman. Approximately 500 persons are expected to attend the meeting.

Thomas M. Quinn Jr., Indianapolis attorney, today assumed his duties as a regionalp vice president of the National Conference of Employment Security Agencies. Mr. Quinn, who is attorney for the Indiana division of Unemployment Compensation, yesterday at the closing session of the convention at the Indianapolis Athletic Club. The territory in Mr. Quinn’s region includes Indiana, Illinois, and Wisconsin.

new heavy duty cab-over-engine models on the market to meet the continually increasing parking problems, C. R. Frobes, manager, announced today. The new models, rated as 3 to 4-ton jobs will enable firms to purchase trucks that will carry heavy loads and yet be worked _into small spaces behind and alongside buildings and in narrow streets and alleys, Mr. Frobes explained. \ The shorter over-all length also

The engines of the new cab-over-engine models are of the remov-,able-cylinder, valve-in-head 6-cyl-inder type. Access to the power plant is secured, for minor adjustments, by removing the tunnel cover floor boards and seat covers. if necegsary, the engine with transmission’ and propeller-shaft .can be removed through the front of the cab. This entire unit rests on rollers in the frame and can be removed by dismounting the radiator and front cab section, which takes but ‘a few minutes Mr. Frobes explained.
