The army of volunteer workers for the annual Community Fund campaign has reached its enlistment quota of 3000, Perry W. Lesh, Eampaign , announced tfoy.
The workers will canvass homes and business organizations between Oct. 9-26 to help the Fund realize its goal of $683,710 for the coming
year. More than 300 workers in the individual gifts division are to hear Sanford Bates, New York City, executive director of the Boys’ Clubs of America and a former director of the Federal Bureau of Prisons, at a dinner meeting tonight in the The campaign will open formally at a rally at 8:15 p. m. next Monday night at the Murat Theater.
GOOD-WILL FLIGHT HEADS FOR AFRICA
NATAL, Brazil, Oct. 5 (U.P).— Seven Japanese fliers and newspapermen took off for Dakar, Senegal, on the West African coast today in the Japanese good-will monoplane Nippon, which is making a round-the-world flight sponsored by the newspapers Nichi Nichi of Tokyo and Mainichi of Osaka. Soon after the plane took off the ‘Air France Co. announced receipt of radio messages that -it was flying normally.

Last month a new set of judges picked his picture as the best submitted during the year, and announced him as the winner of a $500 prize in the current issue of the magazine. Dr. Dynes, a dentist, says that a part of the prize money will go to

ment. He has been interested in photography for nearly 30 years.
