PARK BOARD FUND REQUEST IS DENIED
The State Tax Board today turned down temporarily a request of the City Park Board for $7000 additional appropriation to operate park motor equipment for the remainder of this year. The Board, however, approved another $2500 for the Park Board to use in an extermination drive against the spread of the Japanese beetle. ‘This action was urged by State Entomogolist Frank N. Wallace. Members indicated they might reconsider the $7000 request later. “The Board also approved a $1500 additional appropriation for repairs on the boiler at City Hospital.
