BULLET WOUNDS KILL OFFICER, BYSTANDER

HAMMOND, Ind. Sept. 28 (U. P.). —Police ‘Lieut. Gene Iattoni, 34, Calumet City, Ill.,, and John J. Fusner, 51, of Hammond, died yesterday from bullet wounds received Saturday during an attempted robbery at a Calumet City tavern. They were the second and third victims of | the fight. - Frank Hussar, 21, of Hegewisch, Ill, allegedly a bandit, was killed by Lieut. Iattoni and Ben Kulczyk, another policeman, during the fight. John Frejlich, 21, also of Hegewisch, was wounded. Mr. Fusner was a bystander in the struggle. Police held a third youth, Anton Kaufman, 21, in connection with the gun battle. i
