A Federal grant of approximately $9000 _to continue smoke abate-

ment work in Indianapolis has been |} . approved and work ‘will begin as}

soon as men are ayailable, P. B. Denning, fourth -district director of the WPA, announced today.

The queen will be taken to Indianapolis to be outfitted with travel] and formal evening wardrobes. While there she will invite Governor M. Clifford Townsend to open the festival. On Wednesday the queen and her court will go to

The queen will be crowned preceding the coronation ball Thursday night Oct. 12. A mardi-gras program and kiddie and pet parade are to feature Friday's program.
