Civie Theater Launches Drive Tonight for Season Members
The Civic Theater will initiate its annual membership drive for the theater's 25th season tonight with a workers’ meeting at the theater. After tonight an “army” of workers will contact prospective subscribers until the drive closes on Oct. 3. The theater has set a goal of 2000 members.
A business session will be followed by a listening-in party on the broadcast of the Louis-Pastor fight. Frank Hoke, theater board president, will introduce, J. Perry Meek and Mrs. H. H. Arnholter, drive co-chairmen, who will preside at the business meeting.
1000 Children Subscribers Sought
The workers will conduct a drive for 1000 Children's Theater memberships along with the regular campaign. Commanders and their team captains who will confer tonight include Miss Sara Lauter and her team captains, including Miss | Eldena Lauter, Mesdames John Rav Newcomb, Thomas Scanlon, C. D. Vawter and Harold R. Victor. Mrs. William Macgregor Morris’ { aids are to be Miss Helen Coffey and the Mesdames A. K. Scheidenhelm, Garth Marine, E. P. Dean and Wayne Ritter. Dr. Oliver W. Tudor Hall Plans Party
Plans for an all-school party on Sept. 30 will be discussed by members of the Tudor Hall Student Government Council today at the school. Miss Mildred Milliken, president, will preside at the session to follow the close of school at noon today. Tudor opened for its first classes this morning. Miss I. Hilda Stewart, principal, spoke at a general assembly period. Classes will be held tomorrow and Friday mornings and on Monday the school will begin its regular meeting schedule.

Entertain for Virginia Fosler
Several prenuptial events have been announced for Miss Virginia Fosler, daughter of Dr. and Mrs. David W. Fosler, 5713 N, Delaware St, whose marriage to Robert DD. Gruen, son of Mr. and Mrs. George J. Gruen, Cincinnati, will be Oct. 14. On Oct. 1, Miss Fosler and her parents, Mr. Gruen, and Mr. and Mrs. Franklin Vonnegut, the bride-to-be’s grandparents, will motor to Lisbon to the home of Mrs. Oliver H, Bogue, the bride-to-be’s aunt, who will entertain them at a dinner party. The next day, Mrs. Vonnegut, Mrs. Fosler and Virginia will motor to Dayton for a luncheon that Mesdames Horace, Irvine and Charles Bieser will give for the bride-to-be and Miss Margaret Gruen, Cincinnati, a cousin of the bridegroom-to-be, who wili be married Oct, 21.
