Funeral serivecs for Miss Asberene Morris, assistant director of the national office of Alpha Chi Omega Sorority, were held at 4:30 p. m. vesterday in the Flanner & Buchanan Funeral Home. Burial was In Crown Hill. Miss Morris, who was 26, died Wednesday in Rochester, Minn, | Where she had been taken to the Mayo Clinic for treatment after a relapse from a serious illness. Miss Morris was born in Indianapolis and attended Tudor Hall and DePauw University. She was active In the affairs of her sorority while In school. She later attended Smith College and the University of Texas. She had served as assistant director of the sorority for two years. Miss Morris was active in Girl Scout and Y. W, C. A. work and was & life long member of the! Broadway Methodist Church. She also was a member of Beta Beta Alumnae Association of Alpha Chi Omega. Miss Morris’ engagement to Edward A. Straith-Miller, Indianapolis, was announced this month. Mr. Straith-Miller is an attorney and a graduate of DePauw and of Indiana University Law School. Miss Morris was survived by her mother, Mrs. J. Edward Morris, 6140 College Ave, and a sister, Miss Isabel Morris.

Funeral services for Mrs. Dorothy Rhoades Hickman, 4635 Broadway, were held at 10:30 a. m. today in the Royster & Askin Mortuary. Burial was in Crown Hill Cemetery. Mrs. Hickman died vesterday in Methodist Hospital after an illness of several weeks. She was the wife of Loran S. Hickman. Mrs. Hickman was born in Indianapolis Feb. 19, 1901, and had spent her entire life here. He lived in Rush County many vears and came to Indianapolis in 1906 when he formed HamiltonHarris & Co.. a tobaccdh concern. with Ed Harris. He served as president of the company until he retired in 1929 {to go into the hotel business in Miami. Active in civic life here, Mr. Hamilton was once asked to run for Mayor, but declined. He was a charter member of the Highland Country Club which he helped organize, and served as president of the Columbia Club. He also helped organize and was president of the Indianapolis Emploveis’ Association. He was member of the Central Christian Church during his residence here. Survivors are two sons, Francis F.. of Miami. and Lucius V., Indian-
