NORTH STAR SHOWED WAY TO EARLY MOVIES

HE first neighborhood theater — by neighborhood is meant outside the mile square— was the Idle Hour at the corner of St. Clair St. and Massachusetts Ave. It antedates the North Star by a few years. But the magic name as far as neighborhood houses go is the North Star.
