By UNITED PRESS Stocks at New York registered small gains today, the sixth con-| Secutive advance, despite heavy profit-taking near the close. Regulated European markets were closed for the week-end holiday. Neutral Amsterdam had a little boom in American shares.
List Shoots Up
In New York, stocks shot up to new highs since mid-March before | turning irregular on profit-taking. Many stocks, however, closed higher and a long list made new highs for the year. Wheat slumped further from recent peak levels on North American markets.
