JANE JORDAN-
PAR JANE JORDAN-I am a girl of 19. I married a man of 43 when I was almost 17 and iived with him abot a vear and a halt He had a good job until about six months after we were married Then I started working and supported us both. He drank a good deal and ran around at nights stood it as long as possible and then I walked out on him. He «till constantly writes me letters asking me to come back, saying that he will get a job and do better, One night he threatened my life with a gun. He is awfully jealous. Do you think I should go back or get a divorce? We have no children { now have met a man of 39 wlio has been married and has two children, but was divorced this year. He tells me that he loves me. but still we quarrel. Do you tHink I should go with this man or get a job and be by myself? I have been on my own for a year HRS T Answer—Since vou are only 19 and obviously have cifficulty in getting along with men, I should think you would do well to find a job and stand on your own for a while. A job gives you good train. ing in teamwork with others. While the problems of business are not the same as the probe lems of marriage, you do learn how to work in unison with other men and women who are engaged in a common task. A certain amount of forbearance and self-discipline is necessary in any job Have you ever asked yourself why you choose men so much older than vourself? It makes one suspect that you are looking for a penevolent and uneritical father to indulge you. When the men disappoint you by showing themselves to be as self-seeking as you are, you protest and a quarrel ensues, The short account you give of your husband is not favorable, It is hardly likely that a man of any force would let a girl less than half his age support him. Then, too, his effort to keep his wife by drawing a gun on her is not very hopeful. You have grounds for divorce if you want it. I not that you say nothing about loving either of these men. You seem only concerned about whether they love you. 'To be at all satisfactory love. must be a mutual thing, given as well as received. Until you can take pleasure in loving as well as in being loved, vou will not make a good wife : Rely on yourself until you are older and learn how to get along with young men of your own age As it is youre trying to solve the problems in the back of the arithmetic before you're mastered the first principles, and it can’t be done JANE JORDAN,
Put your problems in a letter to Jane Jordan who will answer vour questions in this column daily.

Grandmother's Rug Methods Still Good
The same rules for washing amall hooked or rag rugs that Grands mother went by apply today-—except that the modern housewife, pure chases her soap instead of making it and she uses a washing machine where Crandmother used elbow grease, First, brush the rug to remove loose dirt and dust, Use a mild soap thoroughly dissolved in warm water (softened if necessary), Agitate in the washer for no more than five minutes, Rinse thoroughly and throw evenly over the line in the shade to dry, Turn once or twice while drying. The same method is used for washable chenille rugs, Fluff up the pile with a brush when dry, Don't crowd the washer, A second suds path is helpful if the rug is extra= soiled, ——————————————————————— Auxiliary to Meet The Past Noble Grands Auxiliary to Progress Rebekah Lodge 305 will meet tomorrow evening at the home of Mrs, Cleor Korn, 1426 W, Wash-
