John C. Baird, retired carpentercontractor, died last night at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Stella Compton, 33 S. Brookville Road. He was 81. Mr. Baird, who was born in Hodg- | enville, Ky, spent most of his life! in Louisville, moving here 10 years, ago. He had been in ill health two! years. He was a member of the Marcus Lindsay Methodist Church, Louisville, and of Kilwinning Lodge 306, F. & A.M, Louisville,

She was a resident of Crawford | County for many years before coming to Indianapolis. For nine years she was employed at the Central State Hospital here and practiced nursing until a year ago. Lee H. Adams, a native of Indians and brother of Mrs. Arch N. Bobbitt, wife of the State Republican chair-| man, was killed in New England Saturday en route to his home at} Drexel, Pa. He was 352. Mr. County and lived there until 1928 when he came to Indianapolis. He lived here a year and went to De-! troit before moving to Pennsyivania. | M. Frank DeJarnett, former chief of the Income Tax Division of the! Internal Revenue Department in Indiana, died vesterday. He was 60. Mr. DeJamett, born in southern Illinois, lived at Evansville several vears. He became a postal employee there in 1903 and later became superintendent of mails, resigning in 1012 to enter private business. He was chief of the Income Tax Divisfon 13 vears, retiring in 1935 because of ill health. He is survived by two brothers, | R. H. Los Angeles, and H.
