Funeral services for Fred CW. Clark, retired Pennsylvania Railroad engineer who died yesterday at his home, 3910 E. Michigan St, will be held at 1:30 p. m. tomorrow at the Harry W. Moore Peace Chapel, Burial will be at Washington Park. Mr. Clark, who was 76, was born at Homer, Ill, but had lived here for 47 years. He retired seven years ago. He was a member of the Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers and the Moose Lodge. _ Survivors are his wife, Lida J. Potts Clark; two daughters, Mrs. Goldie Johnston, Indianapolis, and Mrs. Gertrude Parker, Martinsville; two sons, Earl, Indianapolis, and Harold, Camby; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

INQUIRY IN ROBBERY 1S TAKEN TO CHICAGO
CHICAGO, Aug. 23 (U. P.).—Investigation of the story of Harry S. Fisher, 53, Indiana metal refiner, that he was robbed Monday night of $10,000 in cash by two men and a “drug-crazed blond” near Belvidere, Ill, turned to Chicago today. Sheriff Perry Bennett of Boone County (Belvidere) planned to visit] ge Chicago with Fisher today to investigate, the Sheriff said, “a new|n angle.” He had held Fisher in the Winnebago! County jail .at Rockford, Ill, since early Tuesday but released him late last night when Fisher promised to come to Chicago and submit to further questioning. Sheriff Bennett said he would hold Fisher’s automobile for the present. Fisher is president of the Fisher Metal Refining Co. of Valparaiso, Ind. When Sheriff- Bennett returned to Belvidere last night he said he had learned that Fisher had withdrawn $7000 from the Valparaiso State Bank early Monday land had obtained $3000 from his wife, LAWRENCE REPEATS FAIR LAWRENCE, Ind. 110 Upstate Cities, State Highway Commission Meet Tomorrow.
The possibility of converting Road 31 between Rochester and South Bend into a divided four-lane super-highway will be discussed at d|a meeting of representatives of 10 northern Indiana cities with the State Highway Commission at Plymouth tomorrow night. : The meeting was arranged by Frank Southworth and George F. Stevens of the Plymouth Chamber of Commerce.

Municipalities to be represented include Plymouth, South Bend, Rochester, Argos, Lapaz, Lakeville, Sulvets Bremen, Bourbon and Fuln. The proposal, according to Todd Stoops, Hoosier Motor Club secre-tary-manager, is in line with an objective of the Lakes-to-Gulf Superhighway Association. Ie seeks to modernize Road 31 and connecting routes to establish a military supernighway from Michigan to Florida.
