Mr. Gandall said he would seek support from the A. F. of L. ‘teamsters’ union and other trade ‘unions. ;

~~ '_ Archie Wright, Dairy Farmers 'Onion president, asserted that half ‘the plants in the metropolitan imilkshed were dry. Distributors in 'New York City estimated that 1,600,000 quarts, about 37 per cent : of the supply, had been stopped. Dr. John L. Rice, New York City Health Commissioner, said he was giving careful consideration to distributors’ requests that the city authorize milk ‘shipments from Boston, Philadel‘phia, Baltimore, Cleveland, Chicago, and from as far west as Towa.

McNutt did - his part today in the President’s economy program. ; He declined. to. purchase the new car to which his post entitles him. Instead he donated his large Marmon to the Government, accepting a $10 check for the title and then indorsing that over to the Treasury. He said he would use that car for Government business irom: now on.
