TO MEET HERE

Highway Freight Carriers . And Contract Operators Convene Sept. 22-23.

The Indiana Motor Traffic Association will sponsor a convention of highway freight carriers, contract operators and fleet operators at the Hotel Antlers Sept. 22 to 23, Ryan B. Hall, secretary-manager, announced today. Features of the convention, he said, will be displays by affiliated industries and a truck “rodeo. ”

Governor to Speak

The speaker at the opening luncheon is to be Governor M. Clifford Townsend. H. H. Kelly, chief of the safety section of the bureau of motor carriers of the Interstate Commerce Commission, will speak

Friday night. An open forum on safety will follow. Principal speakers Saturday will include L. C. Allman, vice president of the Freuhauf Trailer Co., Detroit. A banquet Saturday night will conclude the convention.

Scher Is Chairman

Chairman of the general convention committee is J. C. Scher. Guests expected include Frank W. Purse, Chicago, district director of the Interstate Commerce Commission; Howard Fairweather, Luther Snodgrass, E. G. Cox and H. C. Sanford, all commission representatives.

BODY OF HOOSIER FOUND

NEW HARMONY, Ind. Aug. 17 (U. P.).—The body of Nelson Felch, 62, city clerk, was found yesterday in some bushes on the school yard here. A revolver lay beside the body. He is survived by his widow and & sister.
