When he did not return home, an investigation was begun and it was alleged that $4205 was missing from his accounts. : Sheriff Pangborn said Hacker left $1000 ‘and a note to Mrs. Hacker to forget him and love their 20-months-old baby, Beverly. Mrs. Hacker turned the $1000 over to bank officials.
ASKS NO CHANGE IN U. S. NEUTRALITY LAW

Neutrality Law would result in the sale of arms and munitions to certain foreign nations and probably would involve this nation in a war within a year, Robert Temple, member of the Foreign Press Association in Washington, told a club meeting

Tomorrow the Elwood. plant of the Continental Can Co. will be open for inspection. Friday a parade of floats and bands will be held with Lieut. Gov. Henry F. Schricker, John Frederick, president of the Continental Steel Co. of Kokomo, and Hassil Schenck, president of the Indiana Farm Bureau, acting as judges. DOCTOR FINDS NEW CAUSE OF BACKACHE

covered by-Dr. H. B. Macey of the Mayo Clinic here.’ Changes in certain ligaments of the spine, Dr. Macey believes, cause the localized, persistant pain which does not get better with usual methods of treatment. Operation at which the affected ligaments are removed relieves the pain immediately, Dr. Macey reports.

said definitely that he would not be confined in the Fountain County jail here any longer than necessary. Boys repudiated his confession to state police only a few hours after they said he had admitted the crime. He refused to sign a written confession, police said.
SEVEN THREATENED, DRUGSTORE ROBBED
A gunman who threatened seven persons last night as he robbed the Haag Drug Store, 1102 College Ave., was sought by police today. Carter T. Lewallen, 41, assistant manager in charge, said the man entered and announced a “stickup.” He ordered three clerks and two women customers to sit around one of the service tables, and then demanded that Mr. Lewallen e the cash from two registers. Another woman customer came in during the holdup and he ordered .her to sit with the others while Mr. Lewallen opened the safe and showed him there was no money in it. He left after warning them not to tell police. Harold Riffey, 60 N. Irvington Ave., reported someone entered his home and took a $200 diamond ring from a buffet drawer. :
