Rauch - Reynolds Prenuptial Parties Hold Social Spotlight

‘THE social spotlight for an entire week will be turned on the festivities preceding the wedding of Miss Harriet Anne Rauch and Alfred Owen Reynolds next

Saturday evening. Dinners, picnics, luncheons and cocktail parties will give the bridal party and friends of the

couple few leisure moments.

Miss ‘Rauch is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John G. Rauch,

and Mr. Reynolds’ parents are Mr. and Mrs. Maxwell K. Reynolds of Marquette, Mich. The Rev. Harry Campbell will read the service at 8:30 p. m. at the Second Presbyterian Church,

Mr. and Mrs. Edward B. Taggart today had issued invitations for the marriage of their daughtef, Patricia, and Ross C. Lyons, son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert W. Lyons. An Extra Passenger!

The Sherwood’s daughter, Mrs. G. D. Johnson, and her three children have been visiting the Sherwoods and remained at their home during. the Sherwoods’ trip. - Mrs. Johnson will be paying fare for an extra passenger when she returns to her home at Brantford, {Canada—a baby daughter born July 19. Mr. Johnson is en route home from a trip abroad.

The Indianapolis Country Club will hold a swimming party tonight. A buffé; and bar will be set up along the edge of the pool. The Meridian Hills Country Club is celebrating its’ 14th anniversary today with a variety of entertainment, including tennis exhibitions, golf tournaments, swimming exhibitions and a buffet supper on the lawn. Highland Golf and Country Club will have its weekly dinner dance tonight. Dinner will be served at 6 o'clock and Bill Hart and his Dictators of Rhythm will play for dancing beginning at 9 p. m. The monthly bridge luncheon will be Wednesday. The Hillerest Country Club will be host tomorrow for the Middle States and Indiana A. A. U. Outdoor Swimming Championships

2 Dellwood to Open Week-end With Southern Party

A ‘Southern plantation party tonight, religious services, a swimming

Program

exhibition and a ballad dramatization tomorrow are among special events planned for the week-end at Camp Dellwood, Girl Scout summer camp. Members of the Girl Scout council will meet Tuesday morning.

Campers in the four units at Dellwood will take part in the Scuthern plantation party tonight in Sycamore Lodge. Southern folk songs will be sung by one group and another will present square dances. Members of the other two units will dramatize Southern sketches. Miss Dorothy Hande, program director of the camp, will be in charge. Leaders will direct their units in Scouts’ Own Services tomorrow morning. The remainder of the day will be devoted to a reception for parents and visitors and special ac‘tivities of the scouts. Miss Lucile Cannon, camp direc‘tor, assisted by Mrs. Horace Moc- _ Clure, commissioner, will | receive visitors from 2:30 until 5:30 p. m. Scouts of the Fairy Ring and Woodiand Units will demonstrate rank requirements for the different colored caps in the swimming pool at 3:30 p. m, and also will stage novelty races. Scouts of the Service Unit will . show floating formations at 4:30 p. m. and the Sherwood Unit will
