President Grover A. Whalen of the || World's Fair Corp. said today that all World’s Fair executives will receive an immediate 10 per cent salary reduction as part of an economy drive. Mr. Whalen admitted that attendance had been substantially below expectations, but said that prospects were excellent for increasing patronage. . He said atténdance at noon yes- | terday was 25,000 higher than it had been at the same time on any previous Wednesday, and emphasized” his confidence that the trend would continue. Mr. Whalen denied reports that between “500 and 1500” employees had been tlismissed. KILLS FATHER, HELD JUSTIFIED SLAYING

DANVILLE, Ill, July 20 (U.P.).— A Coroner's jury today had returned a verdict of “justifiable homicide” in the fatal’ shooting by Alta Heath, 16, of her father. A. which has one camp for the entire month; by the State 4-H Club Conservation Camp and by the Junior Catholic Daughters of America, who have reservations extending to Aug. 4. The Evansville Girl Scouts will occupy one camp from Saturday to Aug. 19, Camp Pokagon is in session at Pokagon State Park all during July and August while the group camp at Dunes State Park is being occupied by various junior organizations during July.

Scattered cases of foul brood and other bee diseases are being found by! inspectors engaged in a statewide survey of Hoosier apiaries, Mr. Simmons reported today. The annual inspection is one of the activities supervised by the Entomology Division. Inspections do not indicate any general increase in foul brood or other disease affecting apiaries which turn out several million pounds of honey each year, he said. Indiana laws provide for inspection of all apiaries, give the authorized deputy of the State Entomologist the right to visit and examine an apiary and require that diseased colonies, hives occupied by such colonies, and the con-
