McLauchlan-Baker Wedding Set

Another important summer wedding is that of Miss Juliet Baker, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Thaddeus R. Baker, and James Charles McLauchlan, Occumster Caithness, Scotland, at 7:30 o'clock tomorrow night in the McKee Chapel of the Tabernacle Presbyterian Church. Miss Baker's attendants will be Miss Helen Zitzlaff and Miss Grace Sherwood, Cincinnati. her roommates at Principia College. Dr. George Baldwin will be Mr. McLauchlan’s best man and ushers will include Cohn Morrison and Willard Gambold, Coatesville. Mr. and Mrs. Jacquelin S. The second game of a three-game series between the Rolling Ridge and Ft. Harrison polo teams will be played at 3:15 p. m. tomorrow at the Ft. Harrison field. Brig. Gen. Dana T. Merrill, commanding general of the Fort, will officiate. The Ft. Harrison team won the first game of the series. Cups will be presented to the winners of the series. Club to Celebrate Birthday

A day of outdoor activity is planned for the 14th anniversary celebration of the Meridian Hills Country Club on Saturday, July 22. Alvin Baer, swimming instructor, will assist Mrs. Arthur O. Pittenger and her committee in planning the children’s party. A blind par tournament is planned for men golfers with Don Ellis in charge.

Ceremony Set for Today in SS. Peter and Paul Cathedral Rectory.

Miss Mary Frances Kixmiller, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. R. Kixmiller of Freelandville, will become the bride of LeRoy E. Cummings, son of Mrs. Lenore Cummings, in a quiet ceremony at 3:30 o'clock this afternoon in the rectory of the SS. Peter and Paul Cathedral. The Rev. Fr. Richard J. Langen will officiate at the single ring service. The bride will wear a street-length jacket dress of white ribbed silk. The jacket of the gown, long-sleeved, is quilted and the skirt of the dress is lightly flared. She will wear a turban of the same material as the dress with a nose veil in front and a hip-length veil in back. She will carry white gloves and a colonial bouquet of red roses, baby's breath and larkspur. Miss Alice Zwilling, Bloomington, will be maid of honcr. Her gown, styled like the bride's, will be in Madonna blue and she will wear a blue turban and shoulder corsage of red roses. Oscar Barry will be best man, Mrs. Kixmiller has chosen a jacket dress of dusty pink with royal blue belt and flower. She will wear a gardenia corsage and pink accessories. Miss Freers wul wear a streetlength gown of powder blue marquisette made with a fitted waist, full skirt and short puffed sleeves. She will carry an arm bouquet of pink roses. Her attendant, Miss Helen Starost, will wear tearose crepe fashioned like the bride’s gown, with which she will wear a shouider corsage of pink rosebuds. Marion Cooke will be best man. After the ceremony, the couple will receive their friends informally. Among out-of-town guests at the wedding will be Miss Josephine Freers, Terre Haute, an aunt of the bride; Mrs. George Proctor, Muncie, the bride’s grandmother, and Miss Sarah Maxine Dabe, Chicago, Miss Freer’s cousin.
