WHEAT FUTURES TURN LOWER ON FOREIGN TREND
New Seasonal Corn Lows Also Depress Prices at Chicago Pit.
CHICAGO, July 12 (U. P).— Wheat prices again turned downward on the Chicago Board of Trade today on selling induced by weak foreign markets and a sharp decline in corn. December wheat and all corn futures registered new seasonal lows. At the close wheat was off 3% cent to 1% cents, July 65%; corn was off 12 to 17% cents, July 443%, and oats were 3% to 1% cent lower. July 29% bid. After opening fractionally lower, wheat prices steadied in the first hour on support by milling interests and buying stimulated by reports of 100 degree temperatures in the spring wheat belt. Initial losses of 2 to 34 cent were recovered before traders again took to the selling side in sympathy with the break in corn prices. Winnipeg wheat dropped to the lowest levels since 1933, and Liverpool closed 1 cent to 1's cents lower. A forecast of cooler weather in the Dakotas was a factor in the late selling. Corn was firm in early trading, but a forecast of more favorable weather in the corn belt started the selling which carried prices more than a cent lower,

CORN PROSPECTS AIDED BY WEATHER
Prospects for a good corn yield in Marion County, predicted yesterday by Horace Abbot, county agent, were bolstered today by the weekly summary of crop conditions released by J. H. Armington, Weather Bureau head. Corn is in good condition with
557%
s [cultivation nearly finished, he said.
Fields were reported clean, and much of the corn tasseling. Throughout the week the weather was generally favorable for farm work, Mr. Armington reported, with temperatures above normal except for the last two days and rainfall was heavy in the southwest portion of the State and light to moderate elsewhere. Some wheat has been threshed, the yield and quality reported fair to good. Oats are in poor to fair condition. Pastures, tobacco and sugar beets are in fair to good condition. Tomatoes are mostly good with a few in the South ripe. Soy beans are in good condition. Watermelons and muskmelons are fair to good.
