Kentucky's Equine Season Opening On the 19th Attracts Local Folk

HE Kentucky horse show season this year will at tract several exhibitors and spectators from Indianapolis. as usual. The annual Lexington Junior League Show which opens on the 19th has always been popular with local folk. The annual Reserve League Show in South Bend this week-end is claiming its share of attention, too.

The Lexington Show will have $10,000 in prize money to be distributed over seven sessions continuing through Saturday, July 22. Funds derived from the show are used by the League to finance its community service projects, chief of which is the Lexington Child Guidance Clinic. Four horses will go from the Fairmount Stables, owned by El Lilly. Tillman Bubenzer, rider and trainer, will take along the big gelaing Jeb Stuart, which won so many honors at shows last season. Light Horse Harry, the new walk-trot horse which is expected to provide some real competition this season, will go and Lexie Dean and the newly acquired All Charm also are to be taken. Mr. Bubenzer will take a string to other shows including the Illinois State Fair Show, Aug. 14-19, at Springfield, the Ohio, Kentucky and Indiana State Fairs and shows in Kansas City, Chicago and St. Louis. » n 8

The Reserve League is sponsoring the show for the first year at Playland Park. Proceeds will go to the organization's charity projects. Louise McNuit's stay in Indianapolis has brought about quite a little social flurry in Indianapolis’ younger society “doings.” Miss McNutt, daughter of the Paul V.
