Morris Plan Announces Loan Rate Reductions

News that will be welcomed by thousands has just been ane | nounced by Howard M. Coots, vice-president of the Tndian- |

apolis Morris Plan. This con

sists of substantial reductions |

in the rates charged on several kinds of monthly pavment |

loans made by this institution.

These rate reductions are in line with the Morris Plan policy of giving its customers the benefit or operating economies. Such economies, Mr. Coots says, have resulted from the amazing increase in volume of

business achieved by the Morris Plan in recent years.

The rates on collateral loans of $300 or more, and loans on Moris Plan Savings, regardless of size, are now Teduced to $6 per $100 per year. These loans are for periods of 9 to 25 months.

Rates have also been reduced on Character Loans without endorsers. Personal Loans and Family Loans over $500. This is the second substantial rate reduction announced by the Moris Plan, a locally owned and operated institution. Recently they announced 8 rate reduction on New Car Rinancing to $5 per $100 per vear, and on used cars to $7 per $100 par vear Plus insurance on late models, Great Increase in Savings “Tt is surprising,” went on Mr. Codts., “how thrifty the people of Indian. apolis really are. Our offer of 8% % intarest on savings with safety has been the means of starting an amaze ing number of new saving funds at the Morris Plan. ‘This is consider-

ou more then piople could get e hd 1s a splendid demon-

a

stration of confidence in our instis | tution.”

“A customer recently told us that | she had her money in the Morris | | Plan for about 18 years and in that

time no one ever lost a dollar of | principal or interest through the Indianapolis Morris Plan.” The 3':% ‘interest oh savings is | compounded semi-annually—July 1 | and January 1 of each year, and | money recived before the' 16th of | July draws interest from the first of | ‘that ‘month. The institution oper- | ates under the supervision of the Department of Financial Thstiou- | tions. Savings now total close to | three quarters of a million dollars.

Officers Local Business Men

The officers of the Morris Plan are all Indianapolis men, well known ih business circles. The president is | William 1. Schloss, son of one of the | founders of the institution; DP. C.| Neijdlinge:r and Howard MM. ‘Coots | are vice-presidents; LeRoy Kahler | is secretary and treasurer. and | Jackiel W. Joseph is general counsel. | All of the officers ‘are constantly ih attendance at the Morris Plan and | always stand ready with sound adVice on financial problems, no macs | ter how small they seem.
