Forty-seven wartime generals al-| ready have accepted invitations to! be distinguished guests of the Amer | ican Legion at its annual national convention here, Sept. 25 to 28. It will make this one of the greatest ‘assembly of generals in the peace‘time history of the United States. | The list of acceptances thus far includes one full general, one lieu- | tenant-general, 21 major generals jand 24 brigadier generals. Nearly {all of them now are on the retired | list. Heading this starred array of wartime officers will be Gen, {Charles P.
