MUD UNDER SQUALUS HULL DELAYS RAISING
PORTSMOUTH, N. H, June N (U. P) —Hard-packed mud beneath the hull of the sunken submarine Squalus may delay raising of the craft until after July 1, it was believed today. William Badders, making the last of yesterday's nine salvage dives, reported the mud had forced the nozzle of the compressed air hose, with which divers are attempting to tunnel under the submarine, against the hull.
