LOURDES, France, May 26 (U. P). = Pred Snite Jr. lay in his iron lung at the shrine of Lourdes today and prayed for “those poor English, Belgian and French invalid pilgrims beside me in the grotto.” The Chicago youth, forced to live in the iron lung since he was stricken with infantile paralysis in China, gave thanks for his life at the famous grotto where a peasant shepherd girl prayed to the Virgin 81 years ago and where countless crutches have been left by invalids who walked away from the shrine. “Seeing those poor invalid pilgrims in the grotto made me feel especially privileged.” Mr. Snite said. “My general health except for paralysis leaves little to be desired. My paralyzed muscles are continuing to recover at a snail's pace, but I am happy and confident of eventual recovery. “1 am one of those very few persons in the world who have noe worries. Many would certainly like to change places with me.”
