STATE AWARDS | OIL CONTRACTS “FOR $3,000,000
Road Commission to Let Contracts for 0Oiling Next Week.
Six oil companies were awarded contracts today by the State Highway Commission to furnish gbout $3,000,000 worth of gasoline and oil to the Highway Department during | the next fiscal year. Meanwhile, the Highway Commission announced that it will award contracts for the oiling of 801 miles of unpaved roads next week. The awards will be divided into six contracts, one for each of the State's] highway districts. This is the same procedure carried out in today’s contract letting for motor fuel. Vincennes Biggest Area
Nearly half of the mileage to be oiled is in the Vincennes district where 33% miles will be treated. Oil mileage in the other districts included Ft. Wayne, 98 miles; Crawfordsville, 103; Seymour, 76; Greenfield, 112, and La Porte, 72 miles. | The Socony Vacuum Qil Co. was awarded the contract to furnish all gasoline and oil for highway trucks operating in the Ft. Wayne industry; Standard Oil Co. for the Vincennes district: Tndian Refining Co., for the Seymour district. The Ohio Oil Co. was given the LaPorte district business: and Pure Qil Co., the Greenfild business: and the High Point Oil Co. the Craw-| fordsville district. Fourteen Made Bids

Plane to Start ‘Flying Display’ in City Tomorrow,

BUTLER BLUE KEY PRESIDENT NAMED
Angelo Angelopolous, Indianapolis student at Butler University, has been elected president of Blue Key, senior men’s honor society. He will be in charge of the annual fall football banquet and of chapter affairs. Mr. Angelopolous is a journalism major and is editor of the Collegian, university daily, and a member of Phi Elta Theta Fraternity Two new men have been appointed to the history department faculty for the summer session at the University Donald PF. Carmody of the Indiana University history department, and Frederick D. Kershner Jr., a member of the Butler class of 1937, will begin their new duties June 13, when summer registration commences.
