Delegates Will Represent 26,000 Voting Members; State Tax Revision Resolution Among Proposals to Be Presented.

An executive board meeting this evening will precede the formal | opening of the Indiana Federation of Clubs’ state convention tomorrow

at the Claypool Hotel.

Delegates representing 26,000 voting members and scores of visitors

are expected to atiend the three-day sessions.

“Womanhood Arrives”

is the theme selected for the conference. Among resolutions to come before the convention is one asking that

the organization reaffirm its policy of urging state tax revision. Another resolution will urge ‘‘flexibility of organization” in American foreign policy “in order to meet emergencies as they occur.” Other proposals to be acted upon call for the support of the Dies Committee, the backing of the Pan-American conferences and the reaffirmation of the federation’s backing of safet: movements

Officers to Be Elected

Several officers will be elected at this year’s convention. Nominees to date include Mrs. George W. Jaqua, Winchester, president; Mrs, W. D. Keenan, Indianapolis, second vice president; Mrs. Russell Cramer, Sullivan, corresponding secretary, Miss Hazel Agnew, Winamac, third vice president; Mrs. J. H. Howarth, Pine Village, trustee An advisory board meeting at 9 a. m. tomorrow will open convention sessions. The council will convere at 10 a. m. te ‘discuss the Fauntleroy Home, the small club in the federation, convention problems and the Club Woman Magazine. The American Home Department and district and county presidents will hold luncheons.
