HOME ON RAILS IS STREAMLINED FOR KING. QUEEN

Two Cars Are Temporary Residence on Visit To Canada.

QUEBEC, May 19 (U. P) —Two rear coaches of a 12-car, streamlined train has become the temporary home of the King and Queen of Great Britain. They will live aboard it for = month while traveling 8000 miles across Canada to the Pacific and back, into the United States and back, and eastward to Halifax where they will sail for home. Except for a few nights when they are guests of Canadian or United States officials, they will sleep on the train, a luxurious] gleaming assemblage of silver and| blue coaches The coaches are numbered from | one to 12, starting from the rear! and are so crammed with royal at-| tendants and facilities for their] comforts that only the necessary baggage is aboard it. The rest of the three tons of trunks and bags brought by the] royal party from England is stowed | into two coaches of the 12-car pilot | train, which precedes the royal train | along the tracks as a measure of Safety |

A dressmaker from a famous store in Toronto came several times for fittings, just as is done with frocks for | White socks, white slippers and =a [little white hat that sits on the back of a Quin's head complete the outfit. Finally, there is the business of practicing tor the reception. It has become a delightful game. Nurse [O'Shaughnessy sits down in a chair and says, “Now I'm the Queen and you must curtsey for me.” So the Kids perform the Quin version of a (royal curtsey. That is, all except Emilie who has been putting everybody in stitches, For she, the rugged individualist and wit, stands on her head when nurse asks for a curtsey.
