events planned by a number of town and country clubs for April and early in May. Warm breezes bring first reports * of the annual Tulip Time Ball at the Indianapolis Athletic Club and the Saddle Show Shuffle for Junior Idacs. Dances for junior members are being planned also by
the Columbia Club and the Meridian Hills Country Club while the Indianapolis Country Club announces its annual
Easter party for youngsters. A Breakfast Plunge next Sunday will be the first April event at the I. A. C. The club pool will be opened to members, their families and guests from 9-12 a. m, with breakfast at 11 a. m.
The fifth annual Tulip Time Ball will be held in the fourth floor club ballroom Saturday, April 8, where tulips and more tulips will form the decorative scheme in an old Dutch atmosphere. Invitations will be extended to members and their guests. Louie Lowe and his orchestra will play for dancing.
Easter Dinner Set
Easter Sunday dinner will be served to club members on April 8 from noon until 9 p. m, With dancing to the club orchestra in the evening. The Indac Junior f£addle Show Shuffle will be held April 14 in the fourth floor ball-

Swimming Races Listed
Two women’s championship swimming races are scheduled for the club pool on Sunday, April 23. A special dinner will be served between the trials at 3:30 p. m. and the races at 8:30 p. m. : : The annual Athletic and Awards Banquet has been planned for Friday, April 28, for members and their families. Awards will be made to boys and girls who have done outstanding work in I. A. C. athletics. On May 6, the annual Kiddies’ Derby Day party will be held at 2:30 p. m. in the gymnasium. The Junior Columbians will hold a spring formal dance Friday, April 14, at the Columbia Club. Miss Helen Shumaker and Edward H. Mitchell II were named today as chairman and cochairman. Assisting the general chairmen with arrangements will be members of the junior committee, Misses Margaret Cornelius Trusler, Jeanne Taylor, Peggy Jane Gray and Mary Catherine Weedon, and Messrs. Richard Carson, John Beeler, Paul Havens and Robert Weedon. : A floor show and contest will be a feature of the intermission. Wally Dean is president. An annual Easter party for children will be held Easter Day at the Indianapolis Country Club, where kiddies will participate in an egg hunt and race and kite flying events. To Return From Honeymoon Trip
Mr. and Mrs, Gordon Robertson Culloden will be at home at the Indianapolis Athletic Club following a short wedding trip in the North. Dr. William Shullenberger officiated at the couple’s marriage Saturday afternoon in the Central Christian Church in the presence of the immediate families. . Mrs. Culloden, formerly Miss Joe Anne Allerdice, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Horace Allerdice, chose a boy blue suit with which she wore a cranberry flowered toque. Her corsage was of orchids and lilies of the valley and she carried a prayerbook. Miss Marjorie Allerdice, maid of honor, was her sister’s only attendant. She wore a crepe dress of blue and cranberry with a blue straw hat and cranberry accessories.
Allerdice is a student at Northwestern University. Warren Atkinson was the best man. Mrs. Allerdice wore a navy blue suit and hat with a gardenia and roses corsage. Mrs, Culloden’s ensemble was of navy blue lace with a corsage of roses with a gardenia. Out-of-town guests included Miss Mary Allerdice, New York, aunt of the bride, and Miss Betty Culloden, Boston, sister of the bridegroom. Mrs. Culloden was graduated from Randolph Macon Woman's College at Lynchburg, Va. The bridegroom is a graduate of Butler University where he was affiliated with Sigma Chi Fraternity. The couple left immediately after the ceremony.

Plans are under way for the annual spring dance of one Indianapolis church parish, while a book review and routine business are scheduled for meetings of two church groups tomorrow and Wednesday. Several religious broadcasts will be held this week.
The annual Blossom Time Dance sponsored by the parish organizations of Our Lady of Lourdes Church will be held Friday evening April 14, at the Hoosier Athletic Club. Times Special GREENCASTLE, March 27.— Glynn Downey, Greencastle High School basketball coach, and Mrs. Downey will make their home here following their marriage Friday in Cobin Memorial Church. The bride formerly was Miss Marion McKenzie, physical education instructor at DePauw University.
Mrs. Downey is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Leslie A. McKenzie, Chicago, and a graduate of the University of Illinois. Mr. Downey’s parents are Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Downey, Michigantown. He attended Purdue University where he was an all-Conference basketball player.

Morton, president of the Garden Club of Indiana, was to report activities of the state organization today at the Central regional conference of the National Council of State Garden Clubs. The conference was to be in session at the Lake Shore Athletic Club, Chicago. Mrs. Morton and a number of representatives of other Indianapolis Garcen Clubs and other groups in the state were to arrive this morning by chartered bus for the meeting.
