Highway Commission Puts
Up Warnings on Road 37 As Experiment.
Signs designating safe maximum speeds for curves under normal driving conditions are being erected along Road 37 between Indianapolis and Paoli by the State High- . way Commission as an experiment in creating safer driving, T. A. Dicus, Commission chairman, announced today. The 98-mile stretch was selected for the experiment because it is
heavily traveled and has g curve
about every two miles, With finances established for the .next two fiscal years, the Commission is completing lists of projects for 1939 construction, Mr. Dicus said. Members of the Commission toured the state during the last few weeks to determine what projects are necessary. The Commission reported that only 22 contracts were in operation last month.
