The report listed 1938 gross operating revenue at $2,576,911, gross corporate income at $1,222,430 and a net income of $613,336. - - The company’s operating expenses last year totaled $1,389,912, including $574,982 in taxes. Although the taxes were about $15,000 less than in 1937, the 1938 operating costs were $13,000 higher than the previous year, according to the report. Dividends and interest paid last year out of the company’s earnings and surplus on common stock, preferred stock and bonds totaled $1,776,690.
