being assisted by Indianapolis
Physicians in teaching the young women such nursing essentials as bandaging, treatment of minor injuries, care of burns, making tourniquets, care and bathing of infants, preparing draw sheets and ‘Proper making of beds, bed baths, convalescent, diets and the treat
ment of colds, respiratory infections
and cardiac cases.
Following a written examination next Monday members expect to be [ready to meet any emergency in the home. Two Local Girls Seek - DePauw Queen Title

New Jersey St., both of Indianapolis, are among candidates for queen of the annual Junior Prom at DePauw University. Eleven coeds, representing eight sororities and three halls, have been chosen to run for the election. ; Miss Grumme will represent her sorority, Kappa Kappa Gamma, and Miss Pavey was chosen from Rector Hall. 4-Day Conclave Of Girl Reserve Aids Nears End
Talks by Miss Bernice Bridges, New York, Girl Reserve secretary of the National ¥. W. C. A. staff, practices in leadership. training, recreation, exhibits and reading are included on the program for. the conference of Girl Reserve advisers and secretaries at Turkey Run State Park, Marshall. The conference opened Saturday and will continue through tomorrow. Miss Bridges is to be a guest of the Indianapolis Girl Reserve organization at a dinner Wednesday ‘evening following the close of the four-day conference. The dinner will be held at the Y, W. C. A. Leaders and secretaries are to be divided into four groups for the conferences on practices in leadership training today. Groups will include advisers, committees, leadership council and conferences, Supper and a party will close activities of the day at the conference. Backstage Party Set for March 26
Several skits and humorous sketches will be features of the informal party of the Backstage Club of the Civic Theater on Sunday, March 26. The party originally was to be held on March 19. Dr. John Ray Newcomb, veteran actor of the organization and director in Civic Theater productions, and J. Perry Meek, who has been active in amateur plays, are cochairmen of entertainment for the party. Both are charter members of the club. George Fotheringham is president.
