RANGE NARROW
IN DULL TRADING ON GRAIN BOARD
Corn Prices Start Easy But Steady on Resting Orders.
CHICAGO, March 4 (U. P.).— Wheat prices moved in a very narrow range around previous closing levels in dull trading on the Chicago Board of Trade today. At the close wheat was unchanged to off % cent, May 687%; corn was up % to off % cent, May 49%, and oats were unchanged to cent higher, May 29%. _ There was some demand for July
fluence on the market, but easiness at Liverpool checked buying interest. Foreign demand for North American grain continued -disappointingly slow. The Winnipeg market was quiet. Corn prices started easier, but steadied on resting orders and firmness at Buenos Aires. There was demand for May corn at 49 cents.

"600D MUSIC"
By James Thrasher
If you happen to be one of those, like the writer, who missed Robert Virovai’s American radio debut with the New York Philharmonic-Sym-phony on Nov. 6, tomorrow night should find you arranging your schedule in order to hear his broadcast with the Detroit Symphony at 8 p. m.,, CBS-WFBM. For this 17-year-old Jugoslavian fiddler created one of the biggest splashes in the New York musical pool since Yehudi Menuhin tucked his violin under his chubby chin some 15 years ago. Young Mr. Virovai will be heard with the orchestra, under Eugene Ormany’s direction, playing the Rondo from Mozart's. Concerto No. 5; Hubavy's “Zephyr,” and the Danse Espagnol by de Falla. On the orchestra's program are excerpts from Wagner's “Das Rheingold;” a movément from Tschaikowsky’s “Pathetic” Symphony, and Strauss’ “Tales From

Weinberger”, 5 Polka and Fugue from
|“Schwanda.”
Following Arturo Toscaninl on the NBC Symphony series tonight (a tough spot for any conduetor) will be Hans Eteinberg, who has been the. Italian master’s assistant all season. Mr, Steinberg will give the NBC orchestra's audience their first taste of Bruckner on this concert cycle when he conducts the Fourth or “Romantic” Symphony. Other music will be the early Stravinsky “Fireworks” (Opus 4); Dukas’ “The Sorcerer’s Apprentice” and Johann Strauss’ “Emperor” Waltz, NBC-Blue, 9 p. m.

The first radio performance of a new choral work by Zoltan Kodaly is listed for 11 a. m. tomorrow, NBCBlue, on the Radio City Mugic Hall hour. Erno Rapee will conduct the chorus and orchestra. Soloists will be Annellies von Molnar, Jan Peerce, Louise Bernhard{ and Lorenzo Alvari. ’
Mr. Kodaly is the composer of the “Psalmus Hungaricus” which the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra and Symphonic Choir performed last year under Mr. Sevitzky’s direction. The new work, introduced at the Worcester, Mass., festival two years ago, is called the "Sudayast Te Deum.”

The famous Carlos Salzedo taught Caspar Reardon how to play the harp. But Mr. Reardon, now rather famous himself, learned how to “swing” the celestial instrument after his departure from the Sal~ zedo atelier.
So tomorrow night teacher and pupil will face each other on CBS-

Checking Delinquents
The Bureau of Internal Revenue has at its cornmand many sources for checking up’ delinquent taxpayers. One of these is the “information at source” provision of the Revenue Act, under which persors, “in whatever capacity acting,” are required to report to the Commissioner of Internal Revenue at Washington, D. C., payments of fixed or determinable income to another in any calendar year of $1000 or more on Form 1099. If the recipient is married, and is a Shen or resident of the United States, reports need not |
made of salary or other compensation for ea]
services unless the payments aggregate $2500 or more. If ihe marital status of the payee is unknown to the payor, the pa:ee is considered a single person for the purpose of filing an information return of salary or other compensation for personal services. Fixed or determinable income includes wages, salari¢s, royalties, premiums, rent, interest, etc. A separate return of information ‘or each employee is required of employers. The requirements are not limited to periodical payments, but a single payment must be reported. Domestic and resident foreign corporations are required to make a separate report, Form 1099, of dividends or distributions for each individual, citizen, or resident of the United States, resident fiduciary, or a resident partnership any member of which is a citizen or resident, who was paid $100 ‘or more during the calencar year '1938. All persons or organizations acting at any time during the year 1938 as broker or other agent in stock, bond, or commodity transactions (including banks which handle clearing orders for depositors or custodian accounts) are required to file annual returns of information on Form 1100 with respect to all customers, depositors, or . accounts for whom or which the total amount of either the pur chases or sales of securities or commodities, or the total market value of the securities exchanged, is $25,000 or more during the calendar year 1938 and each subsequent calendar year, with certsin exceptions. A separate Form 1100 must be prepared for each eus- _ tomer, depositor. or account for whom or which business was transacted during the year, and must show the name and address and ~ other information’ provided for in the form. 1 Information returns are carefully checked with individual ree v turns of taxpayers. Thousands of delinquent returns and adeitional revenue amounting to millions of dollars have been secured as the result of the of turns
