MICHIGAN CITY, March 2 (U.

P.).—Two Indiana State Prison guards . have been dismissed on charges of negligence in connection with the escape of Paul Pierce, lifeterm convict, it was learned today. They were Anthony Firanek of Michigan City, and Guy Comer, formerly of Indianapolis. Prison officials charged the two guards searched only casually a truck leaving the prison grounds. Pierce supposedly escaped aboard

the vehicle. Firanek was driver of}

the truck while Comer was stationed at the gate to inspect all in- . coming and outgoing trucks. Pierce, sentenced in 1935 to life imprisonment for the murder of an Indianapolis detective, is still at large.

SCORES QUESTIONED IN CAMPUS KILLING

LOS ANGELES, March 2 (U. P.). —Police investigating the campus murder of beautiful Anya Sosyeva, City College dramatics student, said today they were as far from a solution as they had been last Friday night when she was fatally as-

FINGERPRINT PUPILS IN- FULTON COUNTY |

Fingerprints were being taken here today of all Fulton County public school students from fifth grade through high school. The printing, sponsored by State Police and the Fulton County Federation of Clubs, is being done primarily as a means of identification later in life of any of the students who might meet with accidental death or become amnesia victims.

neral services will be held here tomorrow for Warren G. Butler, 75, former Cass County sheriff and Logansport Police Chief. He died at the home ot a son, in Omaha, Neb., after a brief illness.
