‘Mayerling’ Premiere Impressive Any doubts concerning the reception of the French cinema in Indianapolis were swept aside last night by the impressive attendance at the Indianapolis Athletic Club for the local premiere of “Mayerling.” The enthusiastic response to the movie-~supper-dancing pro- ‘, gram indicated the Filmarte Guild had made its debut under a
lucky star. Se, Chairs and tables were set in every available inch of space for the 500 guild subscribers and their guests who moved at a snail's pace through the crowded foyer-‘to the ballroom: where the screening was held. { . Mrs. Wendell Rynerson in het Charles . Martin, natives of

France, confessed pleasure in the performance. Bertita Harding, whose book, “Golden Fleece,” reaches its finale with the tragedy at Mayerling, vouched for the jhistorical accuracy ofthe film interpretation. ; Tl The sartorial question from the feminine viewpoint was decided in favor of simple dinner gowns or street-length cocktail frocks. Charter members of the guild acted as the reception committee. © Mrs. Rosamond Van Camp Hill wore la black felt hat with shallow - upturned brim and clack crepe gown banded with gold across tae "blouse and long, full sleeves. Mrs. Kurt F. Pantzer’s street-length printed dress with rose flowers on a blue ground was fashioned with, V-neck and knite-pleated skirt. Mrs. George T. Parry wore a pastel blue blouse and navy turban with her navy crepe bolero costume! Mrs. Edna Kuhn Martins wine velvet dinner gown was topped with a silver fox cape. So Puppy May Sleep
Experts on canines say a puppy from 6 to about 24 weeks old should sleep at least 18 hours a day. A wicker bed with a “Do Not Disturb” sign that bobs up when the pup steps into the basket is a pertinent reminder that all play and little rest makes an underdeveloped animal. The bed is furnished with a comfortable canvas cushion to promote pleasant doggy dreams, too. ’
