presented Saturday night at the Civic Theater.
Several
dinner parties are planned preceding the performance and an after-theater dance at the Woodstock Club has
been arranged.

Miss Gloria Chandler, New York, field theater secretary of the Junior Leagues of America, spoke on community theaters. Mrs. Myron J. McKee has been . appointed study group chairman by Mrs. William MacGregor Morris, president. Mrs. McKee distributed questionnaires at the meeting listing suggestions for study and requested members to’ register their choices. Among suggestions were classes for playwriting, review of plays to be produced by the Civic, criticism of current theater productions, makeup, scene designing, community and civic theaters and history of the theater. - The groups chosen will be conducted by authorities on the subject. The affairs committee membership includes ‘women subscribers and women in families holding memberships in the theater. The purpose of the group is to stimulate interest in the theater and to provide subscribers with an opportunity to take a more active part in theater work. Mrs. William G. Sparks will conduct a second tryout for roles in the Children’s Civic Theater production of a play based on the life of Stephen Foster from 1-5 p. m. Saturday at the theater. Mrs. Sparks will be music director for the play to be given April 29 and 30. Banjo players and boy and girl singers are needed, according to Mrs. Sparks,

Hospital Guild To Assist Church Hygiene Project
Equipment and assistance in the new health hygiene project at Roberts Park Methodist Church will be provided by the Methodist Hos-
pital White Cross Guild. Support of the project was voted yesterday at the monthly meeting of the executive board in the hospital nurses’ home. The guild will furnish equipment for examinations of children in Sunday School. The examinations are conducted every Sunday morning in the interest of the children’s health and to prevent the spread of contagious diseases. As Roberts Park is a downtown church, it is becoming a community center, the women were told. Miss Alice Campbell, graduate of the Methodist Hospital School of Nursing, is directing the project, assisted by graduate and student nurses of Indiana University and Methodist Hospitals,
