Yeager of | the Indianapolis Star will discuss “Newspaper Production.” ‘All newspaper workers whether ‘members of the Association*or not are invited to attend the session, Wray E. Fleming, president, announced. Following appointment of committees at the opening session, Frederick E. Schortemeier, Indianapolis, will discuss “The Law of the Press,” dnd G. Victor Lowrie, of the McCannErickson advertising agency, Chicago, will speak on “Why National Advertising?” . Others Will Speak
The president’s address at the afternoon session will be followed by talks by Raymond F. Fletcher, manager of the Portsmouth, O., Daily Times; Prof. Harold M. Haas, Indiana University school of business, and James E. Montgomery, of the New Albany Tribune. : Sigma Delta Chi chapters at But‘ler; Indiana, Purdue and DePauw Universities will hold initiations at 6 p. m., followed by the annual dinner at which Lieutenant Governor Henry F. Schricker and James R. Young, International News Service foreign correspondent, will speak. Newspaper contest winners will be announced at the banquet.

Separate sessions for daily and weekly newspapers will be held Saturday. At the meeting for daily paper workers speakers will include Paul Gorham of Springfield, Ill, who will explain. the Towa-Illinois advertising plan, and Gardner J.
Tribune. . | Harry R. Diel of the Brazil Gazette will preside at the session for weeklies. John §S. Lloyd, Butler University accountant, will discuss cost accounting; Bernard McCann, Lawrenceburg Register, cooking schools and special editions; W. R. Canright, Chesterton Tribune, classified advertising; Walter H. Crim, Salem Republican-Leader, correspondents; C. E. VanValer, Gas City Journal, meeting free circulation, and Prof. Haas, market surveys. Election of officers will conclude the meeting.
