The Anthracite Institute, trade association of Pennsylvania’s hard-coal producers, gave up its headquarters here but left orders “not to sell the furniture.” | Simultan_eously, a large force at the 7 institute’s New York office was reduced to a skeleton basis. Ten years ago anthracite mines produced 70 million tons a year. In 1938 the production was only 48 million tons.
