NEW YORK, Jan. 27 (U. P)— The District Attorney’s office announced today that the question, : “Who shot Jules E. Brulatour?” in the neck, - had not been answered ~ satisfactorily by the millionaire] film man, who said he did it himself. accidentally. Confronted by his vague replies and the refusal of his blond wite, . Hope | Hampton, opera and movie singer, to appear before a Grand Jury without a guarantee of immunity, a spokesman for District Attorney Thomas E. Dewey's office said the affair might be turned over to a Grand Jury in its present state. The one thing known for sure was that about 10:30 last Sunday night, Dr. Carl Theobald was summon to the swank Brulatour apartments and was told that Mr. Brulatour had “fallen downstairs” and hurt his head. At Lenox Hill Hospital the wound was found to have been made by a bullet which nipped the 68-year-old millionaire’s right ear and Jodged in the fleshy part of his neck.| Apartment Probed

The wound was slight and the . hospital said Mr. Brulatour could leave any time but he stayed in the threesroom suite he and Miss “Hampton had taken there. He has posted $500 bond on a Sullivan Gun Law charge that carries a maximum - penalty of seven years’ imprisonment. Unable to find the gun or the bullet’ a surgeon had removed, Assistant District Attorney Herman J. McCarthy led a raiding squad to the Brulatour apartment yesterday. They found a blood-stained bathrobe and suede revolver holster made to fit a purse. While they were there, Mr. Brulatour phoned his home from the hospital to speak to Mr. McCarthy, and told him he would have the gun for him in an hour. Roines Club Names Officers—The re-election of Harold Light as president and Charles Angelkovich as secretary of the Roines Club, Manual High School honorary senior boys organization, was announced today. New officers elected were “Tames Van Der Moere, vice president, and Eugene Beard, treasurer. The meeting was held at Mr. Beard’s home and the next meeting will be at Sam Chernin’s home.

Two Fletcher Directors Re-elected -—H. E. Green and Frank Dunlop have been re-elected directors of the Fletcher Avenue Savings and Loan Association for three-year terms, it was announced today. Other directors are J. C. Uhl, Herman W. Kothe, E. H. Parry, Fred T. Reed and Charles R. Yoke. The association plans to move to larger quarters in the-old Farmers Trust Bldg., 150 E. Market St., within a few months.

Honor Dr. Shullenberger -— Dr. W. A. Shullenberger, pastor of the Central Christian Church, was honored last night with a reception in observance of the 13th anniversary of his pastorate at. the church. Members of the 20th Century Class, of which Dr. Shullenberger is teachwere in charge. meeting was held following the reception and all trustees and deacons were re-elected.
